Exploring the hidden D-Day history of Dorset.
Join us to enjoy a great day out exploring the hidden history of south Dorset in a 1940s vintage jeep. Beginning in the village of Broadmayne, Dorset, our tour will provide an insight into 'Operation Overlord' and the build up of US military forces as they prepared for war. Starting in the rural 'marshalling areas,' we follow the military routes to the ports of embarkation, stopping at places of interest along the way. We promise to utilise our specialist experience and knowledge to ensure that our guests see the best of Dorset's D-Day history.

Dorset is a rural county in southwest England. Dorset has a varied landscape of chalk downs, steep limestone ridges, and low-lying clay valleys. It is known for the famous Jurassic Coast, a long stretch on the English Channel where the cliffs contain many fossils, and rock formations show millions of years of geological history. The coast features notable landforms such as Lulworth Cove, the Isle of Portland, Chesil Beach and Durdle Door. The towns of Poole, Weymouth and Swanage are also popular for their sandy beaches.
